macOS Sierra ROCKS!

I recently joined the Apple Beta Test program and have been running macOS Sierra on my MacBook Air for a few weeks now. It’s fast, and just as friendly as you would expect macOS to be. Siri works great, is attentive to my queries and finds most of what I am looking for. I will of course have to train Siri to know non-Apple applications and be able to open them when I ask her to. It seems like Spotlight even works better than ever before for searching my extensive library of files.

There are a few minor issues in macOS Mail, (I have 4 email addresses that Mail must keep track of). Apple did a great job of providing a way to give them feedback and testing data so that they can resolve the issues. So I expect that by the time Sierra is publicly available, these issues will be well in hand.

You can see that I am not running a wildly upgraded MB Air. macOS Sierra runs very well on this Macbook Air.

All of my applications run just fine in Sierra. I have tested all of my Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud apps. They all run just as they are supposed to and “feel” quicker to me.

If you are considering a Mac purchase there is no need to wait for Sierra. When it becomes publicly available, you will be able to upgrade for free. If you are uncertain about switching from Windows to a Mac, give me a call, and we can work through the steps of moving all of your files over. It’s pretty easy, and I can tell you that the Mac is a wonderful computer, which is easy to use.
